The research presented in this report concerns the results of a survey on the quality of life of men and women with more than 65 years who do not work and live in 6 Italian cities. The cities have been chosen on the basis of the ranking of Italian provinces built by Legambiente in 2006, which summarizes a number of the environmental indicators: Milan, Mantua, Rome, Teramo, Lecce and Palermo. The survey was carried out in October 2006, in collaboration with Ambrosetti – The European House-, with the aim of providing an analysis of aged people with reference to some specific aspects of their life. The issues dealt with concern: the life after retirement and the attitude towards work; the perception of health status, the satisfaction of the family relationships, the perception of happiness and the use of free time, the evaluation and knowledge of the services offered by the city, the judgment of the area where respondents live and their willingness to move, the differences between elderly and aged people, the life satisfaction and financial peace.Downloads
